“Central Michigan Ford-Kenworth 125”
June 16, 2012
I It was the first appearance for the ARCA/CRA
Super Series at the fast 3/8 mile high banked oval just south of Lansing in
Springport Michigan. Sprint Cup star Ken Schrader was on hand to race the best
short track drivers in the nation. Nineteen year old Brett Robinson would bring
the field to the green flag after qualifying 7th. Brett battled door
to door for several laps before taking the lead. The DCI Chevrolet opened up a
significant lead until lap 25 when two time champ Johnny Van Doorn got by on
the bottom.
B Brett stated the car just got to loose as the
tires wore down but we battled with the best and I thought we had something for
them. We will be back next year and with some adjustments I think we can win
this thing. I can’t wait to get back here this is a real nice place and I
really like the track. I would like to thank everyone who made this possible.
The DCI General Contractor, Mcgunegill
Engine Performance, Advance Racing Suspension, Monson Truck Line, Port City
Racecar Chevrolet ran great today and came away with a top ten without a
scratch on the car.
